The Ark on the waters

Genesis 7 verse 17,18 and 24
17 For forty days the flood kept coming on the earth, and as the waters increased they lifted the ark high above the earth.
18 The waters rose and increased greatly on the earth, and the ark floated on the surface of the water.
24 The waters flooded the earth for a hundred and fifty days.

1 Peter 3 verse 20 and 21
20 to those who were disobedient long ago when God waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ark was being built. In it only a few people, eight in all, were saved through water,
21 and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also, not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The Ark that saved Noah and his family symbolizes Jesus, the Saviour of man. Salvation is guaranteed, in spite of the sweeping waves.
