Foreshadowing of the ascension
In the Old Testament the ascension of Jesus Christ has been prophesied and His Kingship has been proclaimed: Psalm 2, Psalm 15, Psalm 21 verse 7, Psalm 24, Psalm 45, Psalm 47, Psalm 68 verse 19, Psalm 110, Jeremiah 30 verse 21.

Foreshadowing of the ascension is manifest in the life of Enoch, Elijah, and Joseph.
Just as the smoke of the old-testament sacrifices rose to God, Jesus rises to God the Father with His ultimate sacrifice.
The Son of Man ascended to heaven, and He will also return to the earth, but then He will come in full glory and great majesty, as King and Judge.
Matthew 25 verse 31.

The second coming of Christ has also been prophesied: Zechariah 14 verse 4.
